Success Stories
In August of 2018, I had found myself along with my children looking for somewhere to live. I had received a notice from my landlord that my apartment building had been sold, and I had ten days to move out. With little assets and such a short time I truly had no idea what we were going to do. I reached out to a few agents and friends with little success. So little hope left, I prayed for the Lord to send me an answer because I had exhausted all my options. The following day a close friend called and told me she knew of a non-profit organization and had been in touch with them. I began to cry as she told me about a program called the Tzedakah House, Inc. She said they would be about to assist with finding us temporary housing. We were able to stay for a least a year for a small fee, and this would give me an opportunity to save money to put towards more permanent housing for my family. During my stay, Tzedakah House, Inc. provided many resources such as first-time home buyers counseling, realtors, counseling, and assistance in writing a budgeting plan which helped me prepare for my future. On November 4, 2019, I moved into my home. I want to thank the Tzedakah House, Inc. for the opportunities, resources, and unselfish deeds that they provided for us. This is truly a heaven-sent program.

Homeless Community Feeding
Tzedakah House (TH) hosts a homeless feeding program twice a month for the homeless community in our local areas. Our objective is to help remedy hunger particularly for the most vulnerable population - the homeless, veterans, the disabled, youth, children, and anyone else who might simply be hungry. TH sets up feeding stations in local community spaces to distribute bagged lunches, homeless kits, hand sanitizer, hand wipes, and toiletries, along with gently used clothing.
Feeding takes place on Friday from 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm. We feed approximately 250 people twice a month. The program is free of charge.

Amanda Drilling Honoring our Military
Tzedakah House dedicates its' March feedings in honor of Amanda Drilling. Amanda was born on March 17, 1981. She passed away suddenly on January 26, 2022. Amanda proudly served her country in the U.S. Army. She worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs as an Equal Employment Opportunity District Manager, providing oversight of the EEO program for over six Regional Offices within the Veterans Benefits Administration. Last year, Amanda raised money for the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI). Among other things, EJI works to end racial inequality. Amanda was a loving and caring individual. Being compassionate about others was one of Amanda’s many qualities. As such, it is fitting to dedicate our March feedings during Amanda’s birthday month and in her memory. Thank you for your service and thank you for caring, Amanda!
